It looks like there is something wrong with this model regarding the auto update. If I had been able to turn off the auto update I think this could have been avoided. There was no need for it to update as I'd already done it manually. Pure support have been useless. They first of all suggested I do a reset even though I'd explained that I can't get the thing to even turn on.
