You do get other notes on opening but, to me, they dissipated rather quickly and were overpowered by the alcohol smell. As I've gotten older, I have grown out of wearing sweet, sugary gourmands, so admittedly her fragrance line doesn't appeal to me as it once did. Despite its sweetness, the coffee note was fun and different, so I hoped that Prerogative Rave would continue the momentum. Plus you'll get the personal satisfaction that no, you're not SO basic- it's Prerogative, not Black Opium, didn't you know (ha ha)?

I have a Hidden Fantasy body spray and it smells identical to the perfume and I thought I'd be able to do some prejudging by smelling the body spray first. I wish this one lasted longer because I have to overspray to get a few hours of use out of it but i also don’t want to run out as quick. Why did they even have to make a unisex scent anyways - isn't there enough female released scents in this house? PREROGATIVE is a brave and exotic step by which Britney Spears moves in a different direction from the feminine fragrances she launched so far. For added intensity: apply perfume directly to your pulse points and / or hot spots (wrist, inner elbow and lower neck).Prerogative is a sweet caramel vanilla espresso with some bite, I'm assuming from the pepper, saffron, or sandalwood. It is a very intimate scent, a scent that you can share with your special someone, it is not a bold scent by any means, the sillage is kind of low.

There is something in there that reminds me very much of Pink Suede by Avon, which is my all time favorite. i consider this a good night time winter fragrance for feminine presenting people or year round for masculine presenting people. But it smells like a cheaper, watered down copy, like the Black opium replica perfumes that are everywhere. The woody, peppery notes become the prominent scent, and at this stage it starts to smell less feminine.What I dislike is the juxtaposition of coffee and sugar in this perfume, which smells suffocating to me. The opening feels fruity in a tangy/sweet nondescript way and the base is woodsy with some plastcky smell hanging in the background, However it’s mostly a vanilla amber with some coffee. Sometimes I know im being annoying wanting to smell things a thousand times and mulling over what should be a straight forward purchase. I sprayed it on the pharmacy perfume counter and liked it, after work, when I got into my car I started smelling like cinnamon coated nuts, toasted marshmallow, and coffee.

I already own Meow and Purr which smell similar and I'm tempted to rid myself of all of them and forget this brief misguided foray into celebrity fragrances. I have both Scandalous and Scandalous Dare and I tested both on one side, then Rave on the other arm.Prerogative is the olfactory equivalent of drinking an espresso with 3 heaped teaspoons of sugar in it. i dont understand how people think this is simply sweet and fruity or get any coffee out of it - its sharp, musky and two dimensional - masculine and feminine with the latter feminine top notes disappearing quickly - completely ignoring the middle note fusions which would have just radiated unity, passion, and love between the two sexes.
